The eggscellent burger is amazing! Location is on the street so you'll have to plan for parking.
Ahhhhmmmmaaazing food! Delicious and a good amount of food served for the price. A must stop in NoHo
Cons: Pricey, no tomatoes, not many options for drinks, and the burgers are very greasy Pros: crispy and tasty fries, halal patties, filling burger Sports on TV, which is better than music clips Pleasant gentleman behind the counter. Service with a smile Not something I'd drive to, but if I'm in town, I might drop by.
Nice clean place inside but parking was hard to find. Burgers were good and fries were okay. We were trying to go to Smashin Buns for halal smash burgers but it brings you here instead lol so that was confusing. Solid place overall
I had the brisket melt and cheese fries with sautéed onions and special sauce! OMG!!!!! It was so good I had to do a video. Food 10/10 Ambiance is relaxed and trendy. The service is excellent! I went back a second time and got the truffle cheese burger and truffle fried. It was DELICIOUS!! This is a must go location in NOHO! You won't be disappointed.
Was craving a burger, but didn't want to get one from the usual go to spots like In N Out or The Habit. After a quick Yelp search, I came across this place and decided to give it a shot. I got the Oh So Hot Burger and got the free check-in fries. It hit the spot! The Serrano peppers had a nice kick to it and the burger was really tasty. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm craving a burger! Also, staff was really friendly and service was quick.
The burgers are pretty good but it's pretty expensive. I had a veggie one and my friend had a beef one. Apparently the beef one is sooo fire! I also enjoy their fries too! I just wouldn't get this all the time because size of the price. Overall, very solid burger spot
Near close to guilt free burgers. The halal patties are packet with flavor, the bun is always fresh and soft - all veggies are crisp, clean and fresh. No matter what style you get you'll have a delicious meal. My favorite so far is the southern BBQ, great toppings and the sauce isn't too sweet. Onion rings are golden perfections. The skillet fries will have you asking "in and out who's animal style?" A thousand times more flavor! The hot dogs are also packed with flavor and go great with some fries. My only gripe is that this place is hot like and oven inside and has no fans or AC/ and there is no outside seating but this is a minor inconvenience in my opinion. (Just noting for those like me who do not like to be in hot temperature while eating)
Burgers Worth Every Penny Urban Skillet in LA is the holy grail of halal burger joints, and let me tell you, it lives up to the hype! Sure, it's a bit pricey, but trust me, every bite is worth it. Plus, they've got this sweet deal - check in on Yelp and score some free fries. Can't beat that! Truffle vs. Mushroom: Burger Showdown I've tried both the truffle burger and the mushroom burger, and let me tell you, they're both winners. Flavor explosions in every bite! But if you're in the mood for something lighter, maybe skip the wings. They're not terrible, but they're not the star of the show either - maybe a 2/5 or 3/5 on my wings scale. Stick to the burgers and other goodies on the menu. Skillet Fries: Pure Magic Now, let's talk about those skillet fries. Oh. My. Goodness. They're like little bites of heaven in a basket. Seriously, don't skip 'em. Mom-Approved Buffalo Chicken Wrap My mom went for the buffalo chicken wrap, and let me tell you, it was next-level deliciousness. I snuck a bite (or two) and dang, it's up there with the best wraps I've ever had. Azeem, you're the man! Parking Woes and Late-Night Perks Parking can be a bit of a headache, especially during the week. But hey, if you swing by later at night, sometimes you luck out with free street parking. Worth keeping in mind if you're planning a visit. In Conclusion: Burger Bliss Awaits! If you're in LA and craving some seriously good halal burgers, Urban Skillet is where it's at. Sure, it might cost you a bit, but the taste explosion is worth every penny. Just remember - stick to the burgers and fries, and you'll leave with a smile on your face.
I took away one star only because I didn't get "smash burger" vibes from their burgers. Instead, I got flat burger vibes. Their burgers were just regular burgers that were slightly thinner but not really "smashed". It was still a darned good burger to me. Report card: Cheeseburger: A - meat was seasoned and the bun was heavenly. Bun edges were nice and crispy and the bun was light. Fries: A+ - crinkle fries are my favorite and these were fried to a nice crisp and weren't too salty. Facility - B+ - While most smash burger places in the area are closed Mondays, this place was open. Nice simple hip interior with a decent dine inside space. Parking was the only reason they lost a star. Street parking with meters. Luckily it wasn't too crowded when we went and we found decent street parking. Service: A - A nice young lady helped us quickly and there were no issues. Overall, would I go again? YES!!!
